VE 150mg 20 capsules

VE 150mg is a non-prescription medicine indicated for the prevention and treatment of vitamin E deficiency states and/or reducing the risk of myocardial infarction.

Active substance: dl-alpha-tocopherol adsorbate acetate (50% powder): 300 mg (equivalent to 150 mg of alpha-tocopherol acetate, equivalent to 150 UI ). Each capsule contains 150 mg of alpha-tocopherol acetate.

Dosage and method of administration:

The recommended average dosage is as follows: Prevention and treatment of vitamin E deficiency states: 1 to 2 capsules of 150 mg per day. To reduce the risk of myocardial infarction:

4 capsules of 150 mg per day. Daily Vitamin E needs vary with age, sex, eating habits, and pregnancy and breastfeeding status. The WHO has established that an individual's daily requirements are between 10-13 mg.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
