Cevazuril is indicated for:
Active substances: Toltrazuril 50.0 mg
Toltrazuril is a derivative of triazinone. It acts against coccids of the genus Isospora and Eimeria. It acts against all stages of intracellular development of coccids: merogony (asexual multiplication) and gametogony (sexual phase). All phases are destroyed, therefore, the mode of action is coccidiocidal.
Posology and route of administration:
Oral use. Shake the oral suspension well before use.
Piglets: Individual animal treatment. Each piglet should be treated at 3-5 days of age with a single oral dose of 20 mg toltrazuril / kg body weight, which corresponds to 0.4 ml oral suspension per kg body weight. outbreak of the disease will be of limited value for the piglet, since small bowel injuries have already occurred. Due to the small quantities required for the individual treatment of piglets, it is recommended to use dosing equipment with a dose precision of 0.1 ml.
Calves: Each calf must be treated with a single oral dose of 15 mg toltrazuril / kg body weight, equivalent to 3 ml oral suspension per 10 kg body weight. For the treatment of a group of animals of the same breed and the same age or similar, the dose must be determined according to the heaviest animal in that group.
To ensure delivery of the correct dose, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible.
