Prazitel Plus 104 tablets

Indicated for dogs in the treatment of mixed infections of nematodes and tapeworms of the following species:

Nematodes - Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (adult and late immature forms), Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults), Trichuris vulpis (adults).

Cestodes: Echinococcus species, (E. granulosus, E. multilocularis), Taenia species, (T. hydatigena, T. pisiformis, T. taeniformis), Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Active substances: Praziquantel, Pirantel 50mg and Febantel 150mg.

This veterinary medicinal product contains anthelmintics active against gastrointestinal nematodes and tapeworms.

In this association, pyrantel and febantel act against all relevant nematodes (ascarids, hookworms and tricurids) in dogs. Specifically, the action spectrum covers Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum and Trichuris vulpis. This association demonstrates synergistic activity in the case of hookworms and febantel is effective against T. vulpis. The action spectrum of praziquantel covers all species of relevant tapeworms in dogs, in particular Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis. Praziquantel is active against all adult and immature forms of these parasites.

Posology and route of administration:

For oral administration only.

The recommended doses are 1 tablet of the veterinary medicinal product per 10 kg of body weight. The tablets can be administered directly to the dog or mixed with food. Fasting measures are not necessary before or after treatment.
