Panacur 10% Oral suspension 2.5 liters

Panacur 10% is suitable for cattle and horses.

Cattle: For the treatment of adult and larval stages of gastrointestinal, pulmonary and tapeworm nematodes such as:

• Gastrointestinal nematodes: Haemonchus spp, Ostertagia spp, Trichostrongylus spp, Strongyloides spp, Cooperia spp, Trichuris spp, Bunostomum spp, Nematodirus spp, Oesophagostomum spp
• Pulmonary nematodes: Diptyocaulus viviparous
• Cestodes: Moniezia spp

Horses: For the treatment and control of larval and adult nematodes present in the gastrointestinal tract, such as:

• Large stronguiloids (larval migrant and adult stages of S. vulgari; adult stadiums and tissue larvae of S. edenatus)
• Small stronguiloids in adult and larval stages - Ciátostomas - (also effective in the treatment of small stronguiloid larvae in the 3rd and 4th developmental stages that are encysted in the mucosa; effective in the treatment of small stronguiloid larvae inhibited in the 3rd stage of development, which are encysted in the mucosa).
• Oxyuris spp, Strongyloides spp, Parascaris equorum

Active substance: Fenbendazole 100 mg

Fenbendazole is an anthelmintic belonging to the group of carbamate-benzimidazoles and as such it acts by interfering in the energy metabolism of the nematode. The anthelmintic efficacy is due to the inhibition of the polymerization of tubulin to microtubulin. The anthelmintic drug is effective both in the larval stages and in the adult stages of gastrointestinal and respiratory nematodes.

Posology and route of administration:

Oral administration.

Cattle: Administer a single dose of 7.5 mg / kg of body weight (equivalent to 7.5 ml of the veterinary medicinal product for every 100 kg of body weight)

Horses: Administer for 7.5 consecutive days 7.5 mg / kg of body weight (equivalent to 7.5 ml of the veterinary medicinal product for every 100 kg of body weight) in the vital states of nematodes.

Administer a single dose of 30 mg / kg body weight. (equivalent to 30 ml of veterinary medicine for every 100 kg of body weight), against states of small nematodes in the mucosa.

Administer a single dose of 50 mg / kg body weight. (equivalent to 50 ml of the veterinary medicinal product for every 100 kg of body weight) against Strongyloides westeri in foals of 2-3 weeks.

Treatment should be repeated in case of reinfestations.
