To ensure a correct dosage, body weight should be determined as precisely as possible to avoid underdosing. The intake of medicated water depends on the clinical status of the animals. To obtain the correct dosage, the concentration of doxycycline can be adjusted. Use proper and properly calibrated dosing equipment.
Medicated water should be the only source of drink.
The therapeutic approach should be reconsidered if there is no clear response to treatment. After the end of the treatment period, the water supply system must be properly cleaned to avoid the consumption of subtherapeutic quantities of the active substance that may cause the development of resistance.
