Meloxidyl helps to relieve mild to moderate post-operative pain and inflammation following surgical procedures in cats, such as orthopedic and soft tissue surgery. Relief of pain and inflammation in chronic musculoskeletal disorders in cats.

Dosage and route of administration:

Oral route. Shake well before administering.

Post-operative pain and inflammation following surgical procedures: After initial treatment with meloxicam 2 mg/ml solution for injection for cats, continue treatment 24 hours later with MELOXIDYL 0.5 mg/ml oral suspension for cats at a dosage of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight. The continuation oral dose may be given once daily (at 24-hour intervals) for up to four days.

Chronic musculoskeletal disorders: Initial treatment consists of a single oral dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight on the first day. Treatment should be continued with once-daily oral administration (at 24-hour intervals) of a maintenance dose of 0.05 mg meloxicam/kg body weight.

Clinical response is usually seen within 7 days. Treatment should be discontinued after a maximum of 14 days if no clinical improvement is apparent.
