Banacep 5mg is a medication used in:
Dogs-Treatment of congestive heart failure.
Cats-Reduction of proteinuria associated with chronic renal failure.
Active substances: Benazepril.
The veterinary medicine reduces blood pressure and volume of load in the heart of dogs with congestive heart failure.
In cats with experimental renal failure, the veterinary medicine normalized high blood glomerular pressure and reduced systemic blood pressure.
Posology and method of administration:
The veterinary medicinal product should be administered orally once daily with or without food. The duration of treatment is unlimited.
Dogs: The veterinary medicinal product must be administered orally in a minimum dose of 0.25 mg (range 0.25 - 0.5) of benazepril hydrochloride / kg body weight, once a day. The dose can be doubled, continuing to be administered once a day, at a minimum dose of 0.5 mg (range 0.5 - 1.0), if considered clinically necessary and if the veterinarian advises.
Cats: The veterinary medicinal product must be administered orally in a minimum dose of 0.5 mg (range 0.5 - 1.0) of benazepril hydrochloride / kg body weight once a day.
