Banacep 20mg is a medication indicated for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs.
Active ingredient: Benazepril.
This veterinary medication reduces blood pressure and heart rate in dogs with congestive heart failure.
Dosage and method of administration:
The veterinary medicine should be administered orally once daily, with or without food. The duration of treatment is unlimited.
The veterinary medicinal product should be administered orally at a minimum dose of 0.25 mg (range 0.25 – 0.5) of benazepril hydrochloride/kg body weight, once daily. This corresponds to 1/2 tablet for dogs weighing 20kg to 40kg and 1 tablet for dogs weighing more than 40kg. The dose may be doubled, while maintaining the once-daily dose, if clinically necessary and suggested by the veterinarian. To ensure correct dosing, body weight should be determined as accurately as possible to avoid underdosing.
