Inflacam 0.5mg/ml 3ml

Inflacam is a Non-Steroidal Anti-Inflammatory Drug (NSAID) of the oxicam group, which acts by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins, thus exerting anti-inflammatory, analgesic, anti-exudative and antipyretic effects. Reduces leukocyte infiltration into inflamed tissue. To a lesser extent, it also inhibits collagen-induced thrombocyte aggregation.

Posology and route of administration:

Initial treatment is a single dose of 0.2 mg meloxicam/kg body weight on the first day. Treatment should continue with oral administration once daily (at 24 hour intervals) at a maintenance dose of 0.1 mg meloxicam/kg body weight.

For prolonged treatments, once a clinical response has been observed (after ≥ 4 days), the dose of the product may be adjusted to the lowest effective single dose, taking into account the degree of pain and inflammation associated with the Chronic musculoskeletal disorders can vary over time.

Particular attention should be paid to the accuracy of the dose.

Shake well before administering. To be administered orally, either mixed with food or directly into the mouth.

The suspension can be administered using the dosing syringe included in the box. The syringe fits onto the bottle and has a kg body weight scale that corresponds to the maintenance dose (ie 0.1mg meloxicam/kg body weight).

Clinical response is usually seen within 3 - 4 days. Treatment should be discontinued after a maximum of 10 days if no clinical improvement is apparent.
