Contralac 5 16 tablets

Contralac 5 is a veterinary drug indicated for the suppression of lactation in pseudopregnancy and unwanted postpartum lactation.

Composition: Metergoline 0.5mg

Target species(s): Canine (bitches).

Posology and route of administration:

orally. Recommended dose: 0.2 mg of metergoline/kg pv /dia , divided into two doses, equivalent to 1 tablet/5 kg pv , twice a day (morning and evening). The usual duration of treatment is 4 days. If the symptoms persist after the end of the treatment, continue for another 4 days (ie 8 days in total). As the tablets are not divisible, the following dosage scheme can be used: 2.3 to 3.0 kg....1 tablet per day; 3.5 to 6.0 kg....1 tablet in the morning + 1 tablet in the evening; 6.5 to 8.0 kg....2 tablets in the morning + 1 tablet in the evening. In addition to the 8 kg body weight, Contralac 20 split tablets are used.
