selehold is suitable for:

Cats:

Treatment and prevention of flea infestations caused by Ctenocephalides spp. for one month after a single application. This is as a result of the adulticidal, larvicidal and ovicidal activity of the product. The product is ovicidal for three weeks after administration. Due to the reduction in the flea population, monthly treatment of pregnant and nursing females will also help to prevent flea infestations in litters up to seven weeks of age. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for allergic dermatitis caused by flea bites and due to its ovicidal and larvicidal action it can help control flea infestations existing in the environment to which the animal has access.

Treatment of auricular acariasis (Otodectes cynotis).

Prevention of heartworm disease caused by Dirofilaria immitis, in monthly application.

Treatment of biting lice (Felicola subrostratus) infestations.

Treatment of adult roundworm (Toxocara cati) infection.

Treatment of adult intestinal hookworm (Ancylostoma tubaeforme) infection.

Active substances: Selamectin.

Selamectin is a semi-synthetic compound of the avermectin class. Selamectin paralyzes and/or kills a wide range of invertebrate parasites by interfering with the conductivity of the chlorine ion channels causing disruption of normal neurotransmission. This inhibits the electrical activity of nerve cells in nematodes and muscle cells in arthropods leading to their paralysis and/or death.

Target species: Cats (cats) (2.6 - 7.5 kg)

Dosage and route of administration:

Spot-on anointing. Apply to the skin, at the base of the neck, in front of the shoulder blades. Administered monthly depending on weight. If the tablet is not taken voluntarily, it can be taken with food.
