Dolostop 500mg Oral Solution It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain and fever.

Active substance: 500 mg of acetaminophen.

Acetaminophen is an analgesic medication that also has antipyretic properties. The exact mechanism of action of paracetamol is not known, although it is known to act on the central nervous system and, to a lesser degree, to block the generation of pain impulses at the peripheral level.

Posology and method of administration:

Adults: The recommended dose is 500 mg - 1 g of acetaminophen (1 sachet) every 4 - 6 hours as needed depending on the severity of symptoms. Do not exceed 3 g of acetaminophen in 24 hours under any circumstances. Doses should be separated by intervals of at least 4 hours. If pain persists for more than 5 days, or fever for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen or develop, the clinical status should be evaluated. In case of sore throat, do not administer for more than 2 days without evaluating the clinical status. This medicine is administered orally. The contents of the sachet can be taken directly or diluted in liquid, preferably water.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
