Nurofen Xpress Minicaps 400mg is a medication indicated for adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (12 years of age and above) for the short-term symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate pain, such as headaches, menstrual pain, toothaches, fever, and pain associated with colds.
Active ingredient: Each capsule contains 400 mg of ibuprofen.
Dosage and method of administration:
For short-term use only. Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms. Adults and adolescents weighing more than 40 kg (12 years of age or older). Initial dose: 1 capsule (400 mg). If necessary, additional doses of 1 capsule (400 mg) may be taken. The dosing interval should be at least 6 hours. The maximum recommended daily dose of three capsules (1200 mg) should not be exceeded in any 24-hour period. In adolescents, if the medication is needed for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, a doctor should be consulted. In adults, if the medication is needed for more than 3 days, or if symptoms worsen, the patient should be advised to consult a doctor.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Patients with a history of hypersensitivity reactions (e.g., bronchospasm, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema, or urticaria) associated with the administration of acetylsalicylic acid (ASA) or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs). History of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation related to previous NSAID therapy. Active peptic ulcer/bleeding or a history of recurrent peptic ulcers/bleeding (two or more different episodes of proven ulceration or bleeding). Patients with severe hepatic impairment, severe renal impairment, or severe heart failure (New York Heart Association class IV). Patients with cerebrovascular hemorrhage or other active bleeding. Patients with blood cell production problems of unknown cause. Patients with severe dehydration (caused by vomiting, diarrhea, or insufficient fluid intake). During the last trimester of pregnancy.
