Nutilis Thickener 300g

Nutilis Thickener is an instant food thickening powder that can be easily added to hot or cold liquids (such as juices, coffee, tea, water and milk), soups, purees and also nutritional supplements.

Features:

• Unlike other thickeners, Nutilis has properties that make it resistant to amylase and allow it to maintain the recommended consistency of foods and drinks – they do not become liquid again in the mouth. Nutilis does not alter the taste of foods and drinks.
• Thickened foods can be heated, refrigerated or frozen without changing their consistency. To get the most out of Nutilis, it is important to remember that the appearance and presentation of meals can have a very significant impact on mealtime for the patient.
• Indicated for patients with dysphagia.
• Not suitable for children under 3 years of age.
• Tasteless.

Directions for use:

Option 1 – Recommended Use of the shaker: Place the liquid preparation in the shaker. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis. Close the shaker lid tightly and shake vigorously until the powder is well dissolved (approximately 5-10 seconds). Gently shake the preparation for 1 to 2 minutes. Leave to stand for a few minutes to obtain the desired consistency. Do not add Nutilis during the standing period, so that the preparation may thicken. Option 2 – Using a fork or a mixer in a tall glass: Place the liquid preparation in a tall glass. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis. Shake vigorously until the powder is well dissolved (approximately 20-30 seconds). Gently shake the preparation for 1 to 2 minutes. Leave to stand for a few minutes to obtain the desired consistency. Do not add Nutilis during the standing period, so that the preparation may thicken. Option 3 – Using a fork or a mixer in a bowl: Place a little of the liquid preparation in a bowl. Add the recommended amount of Nutilis. Mix the powder until it reaches the desired consistency. Add the rest of the liquid preparation. Gently stir the preparation for 1 to 2 minutes until the desired thickening is achieved. Let it stand for a few minutes to achieve the desired consistency.
