Transact Lat 40mg Impregnated Dressing It is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of situations of localized musculoskeletal inflammation of post-traumatic or rheumatic origin, resulting in muscle or joint pain, which can be of an acute or chronic nature.

Active substances: Each impregnated dressing contains 40 mg of flurbiprofen.

Flurbiprofen is a well-known non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agent with important analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. It is an inhibitor of prostaglandin synthesis, thought to be the mechanism responsible for its main pharmacological effects.

Posology and method of administration:

Transact Lat is for external use only. Transact Lat delivers sustained levels of flurbiprofen directly to the affected area with minimal systemic absorption. It is recommended to apply a single impregnated dressing over the affected area, which should be replaced every 12 hours. The skin under the affected musculoskeletal area must be cleaned prior to applying Transact Lat. Remove the protective coating from the impregnated dressing and apply the adherent part directly to the skin. When applying Transact Lat over joints, such as the elbow and knee, it may be convenient to use a bandage over the impregnated dressing, which should be applied with the joint slightly flexed. The duration of treatment should be determined by the physician, according to the patient's clinical condition.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
