Aero-OM Antidiarrheal Rapid 12 units

Aero-OM Antidiarrheal Rapid is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute diarrhea in adults and adolescents aged 12 years and over.

Active substance: 2mg of loperamide hydrochloride equivalent to 1.85mg of loperamide per oral lyophilisate.

Dosage and method of administration:

The oral lyophilisate should be placed on the tongue, where it dissolves and can be swallowed with saliva. It is not necessary to take liquids with the oral lyophilisate. Adults: Initially, two oral lyophilisates (4 mg), followed by 1 oral lyophilisate (2 mg) after each occurrence of loose stools, not earlier than 1 hour after the initial dose. The usual dose is 3–4 oral lyophilisates (6 mg–8 mg) per day; the maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 oral lyophilisates (12 mg). Adolescents aged 12 years and over: Initially, one oral lyophilisate (2 mg), followed by 1 oral lyophilisate (2 mg) after each occurrence of loose stools, not earlier than 1 hour after the initial dose. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 oral lyophilisates (8 mg). The maximum duration of treatment without consulting a doctor is 2 days.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to deliveries to other Member States of the European Union.
