Hirudoid Gel 100g

Hirudoid Gel it is indicated for the adjuvant symptomatic treatment of superficial venous disorders, varicose syndrome, hematoma, sprains, contusions.

Active substance: 3 mg mucopolysaccharide polysulfate per 1 g gel.

Mucopolysaccharide polysulfate has an anti-thrombotic effect and promotes connective tissue regeneration. Hirudoid prevents the formation of superficial thrombi, promotes their absorption, counteracts local inflammatory processes and accelerates the reabsorption of hematomas and edema.

Posology and method of administration:

Unless otherwise indicated, apply 3 to 5 cm of gel once or several times a day. Dosage can be increased if the extent and intensity of the lesion warrants it. The gel should be gently spread over the affected area. As its composition contains alcohol, the gel should not be applied under a dressing. The gel is effective when used in phonophoresis and iontophoresis. In iontophoresis it must be applied under the cathode.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
