Gluart 1500mg 60 tablets

Gluart 1500mg is indicated for the symptomatic relief of mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee.

Active Ingredients: 1500mg glucosamine

Glucosamine is an endogenous substance, a constituent that enters the normal composition of the polysaccharide chains of the cartilage matrix and the synovial fluid of glycosaminoglycans.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and Elderly: The recommended dose is one film-coated tablet of Gluart taken once daily. Glucosamine is not indicated for the symptomatic treatment of acute pain. Relief of symptoms (especially pain relief) may only be seen a few weeks after starting treatment and, in some cases, for a longer period of time. If there is no relief of symptoms after 2-3 months, long-term glucosamine treatment should be re-evaluated. Gluart tablets must be swallowed whole. The tablets can be taken with or without food.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Gluart tablets should not be used in shellfish allergic patients as the active substance is obtained from shellfish. Gluart tablets contain soy lecithin. People allergic to soy or peanuts should not use this medication.
