Nasitrim Duoeffect 0.5mg/ml+0.6mg/ml Nasal Spray Solution is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and rhinorrhea associated with colds.

Active Substances: 1mg/ml xylometazoline and 0.6mg/ml ipratropium bromide.

Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictor properties and thus causes decongestion of the stuffy nose. Ipratropium bromide is a compound with an anticholinergic effect.

Dosage and method of administration:

One spray in each nostril up to 3 times a day. There must be an interval of at least 6 hours between two administrations. Before first use, press the spray pump 4 times so that the solution enters the pump. When full, the pump will remain charged during the period of regular daily use. If spraying does not occur when the pump is fully pressed, it is necessary to refill it by pressing the pump 4 times as before the first use. The duration of treatment should not exceed 7 days, as chronic treatment with xylometazoline hydrochloride may cause swelling of the nasal mucosa and hypersecretion due to increased cell sensitivity, a “rebound” effect (drug rhinitis). In order to minimize the risk of undesirable effects, it is recommended to discontinue treatment when there is an improvement in symptoms, even if this occurs before the maximum 7 days of treatment duration. Children and adolescents under 18 years of age: The use of Nasitrim Duoeffect in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is not recommended as there are insufficient data on the use of Nasitrim Duoeffect in this age group.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Nasitrim Duoeffect should not be given to children under the age of 18 years as there is insufficient data on its use in this age group. Known hypersensitivity to atropine or similar substances, eg hyoscine and scopolamine. After surgical interventions in which dura mater perforation may have occurred, such as transphenoidal hypophysectomy or other transnasal surgeries. Glaucoma patients. Patients with dry rhinitis.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
