Nasex Duo 1mg/ml+50mg/ml Nasal Spray Solution is indicated for the reduction of swelling of the nasal mucosa in rhinitis and as an auxiliary treatment in the healing of lesions of the mucous membranes, for the relief of vasomotor rhinitis (vasomotor rhinitis) and for the treatment of nasal obstruction after nose surgery.

Active Substances: 1mg/ml xylometazoline and 50mg/ml dexpanthenol.

Xylometazoline has vasoconstrictor properties and thus causes decongestion of the stuffy nose. Dexpanthenol is a derivative of a vitamin, pantothenic acid, which due to its properties promotes wound healing and protects the mucosa.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and children 6 years of age and older: The usual dose of Nasex Duo is one spray into each nostril up to 3 times a day as needed. The dose depends on individual clinical sensitivity and efficacy. The duration of treatment is limited to 7 days unless instructed otherwise by your doctor. Repeated use is possible only after an interval of several days. Do not exceed the recommended dose. For reasons of hygiene and in order to avoid infections, each spray bottle should only be used by the same person. Administration of the drug to children under the age of 12 years must be supervised by an adult. If, after 3 days of treatment, there is no improvement or if symptoms worsen, the clinical situation should be reassessed. Always consult a doctor regarding the duration of treatment in children. This medicine is intended for the nasal route. Firstly, the protective cap must be removed from the sprayer. Before first use, press the sprayer five times until a fine spray appears. In case the sprayer is not used for a long time, the sprayer must be pressed twice before use. The spray tip should be inserted into a nostril in the most vertical position possible and the spray should be pressed once. Patients should breathe in gently through the nose while spraying. If necessary, the procedure should be repeated for the other nostril. After each use, the spray tip should be wiped with a tissue and the protective cap placed on the sprayer.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients. Dry inflammation of the nasal mucosa (dry rhinitis). History of transsphenoidal hypophysectomy or other surgical intervention in which dura mater was exposed. Nasex Duo 1 mg/ml + 50 mg/ml nasal spray solution is contraindicated in children under 6 years of age.

If in doubt or if symptoms persist, consult your doctor or pharmacist.
