Allergodil 0.5mg/ml Eye drops 6ml

Allergodil 0.5mg/ml Eye Drops are indicated for:

- Treatment and prevention of symptoms of seasonal allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children aged 4 years and over.

- Treatment of symptoms of non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis in adults and children aged 12 years and over.

Active substance: Azelastine hydrochloride 0.05% (0.5mg/ml).

Azelastine, a phthalazinone derivative, is classified as a potent long-acting anti-allergic compound with selective H1 antagonist properties. An additional anti-inflammatory effect may be detected after topical ocular administration.

Dosage and method of administration:

Seasonal allergic conjunctivitis: The usual dose for adults and children aged 4 years and over is 1 drop in each eye twice a day, which may be increased to four times a day if necessary. If exposure to the allergen is anticipated, Allergodil Eye Drops should be administered prophylactically prior to such exposure.

Non-seasonal (perennial) allergic conjunctivitis: The usual dose for adults and children aged 12 years and over is 1 drop in each eye, twice a day, which may be increased, if necessary, to four times a day.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to deliveries to other Member States of the European Union.
