Folicalm 20mg/g Shampoo 120ml

Folicalm 20mg/g Shampoo is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of infections in which the Pitytosporum yeast is involved, such as pityriasis versicolor (localized), seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis capitis (dandruff).

Active Substances: 20 mg of ketoconazole.

Ketoconazole has potent antifungal activity against dermatophytes such as Trichophyton sp. Epidermophyton sp., Microsporum sp., and yeasts such as Candida sp. and Malassezia furfur (Pityrosporum ovale). Folicalm shampoo quickly relieves the scaling and itching that are commonly associated with pityriasis versicolor, seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis capitis (dandruff).

Dosage and method of administration:

The affected areas of the skin or hair should be washed with Folicalm, Shampoo, which should be left in contact for 3 to 5 minutes before rinsing. Adults, elderly - Treatment: Pityriasis versicolor: apply once a day for 5 days; Seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis capitis: apply twice a week for 2 to 4 weeks. Prophylaxis: Pityriasis versicolor: apply once a day for 3 days, a single treatment period before summer; Seborrheic dermatitis and pityriasis capitis: apply once a week or every two weeks. Pediatric population: Folicalm 20 mg/g shampoo is intended for use in adolescents and adults.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance(s) or to any of the excipients.
