Diptron is indicated for the treatment and prevention of infestations by fleas (Ctenocephalides spp.) And ticks (Rhipicephalus spp., Ixodes spp.) And as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergic Dermatitis, when it has previously diagnosed by the responsible veterinarian.

Active substances:

Fipronil, 100mg

Fipronil is an insecticide and an acaricide belonging to the family of phenylpyrazoles. It works by inhibiting the GABA complex, interacting with the chloride channels and thus blocking the pre- and post-synaptic transfer of chloride ions across the cell membrane. This results in an uncontrolled activity of the central nervous system and death of insects or mites. Fipronil has an insecticidal and acaricidal activity against fleas (Ctenocephalides spp) and ticks (Rhipicephalus spp, and Ixodes spp) in the dog. The veterinary medicine is effective against flea infestation for approximately 2 months and against tick infestation for up to 1 month, depending on the level of infestation. The new fleas die 24 hours after settling on the animal.

Posology and route of administration:

Spot-on spot-on cutaneous application.

Keep the pipette upright. Before breaking the tip, ensure that all the contents are inside the main body of the pipette. Break the pipette tip following the engraved line. Remove the hair from the animal's back, at the base of the neck, in the line of the shoulder blades, until the skin is clearly visible.

Bring the tip of the pipette close to the skin and gently squeeze it in one or two points, to completely empty its contents directly on the skin.

When applying the veterinary medicine to the skin, avoid excessively wetting the hair, as the treated area may appear wet or oily after application. If this effect occurs, it will disappear within 24 hours after application.

In the absence of safety studies, the minimum interval between treatments is 4 weeks.
