Ataxxa it is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis).
Fleas in the dog are killed within 1 day of treatment. One treatment prevents future flea infestations for 4 weeks. The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of a treatment strategy for flea allergy dermatitis.
Active substances: Permethrin 2000.0 mg and Imidacloprid 400.0 mg.
After topical administration to dogs, the solution is rapidly distributed over the animal's body surface. Both active substances remain detectable on the treated animal's skin and fur for 4 weeks. The systemic absorption of the veterinary medicinal product is low enough to affect the effectiveness or tolerance of the target species.
Posology and route of administration:
For spot use only. Apply only to uninjured skin.
The recommended minimum doses are: 10 mg of imidacloprid per kg of body weight and 50 mg of permethrin per kg of body weight.
To reduce reinfestations resulting from the appearance of new fleas, it is recommended to treat all dogs living in the home. Other animals that live in the same house should be treated with an appropriate veterinary medicine. Also to facilitate environmental disinfestation, it is recommended to use additional appropriate environmental treatment against fleas and their stages of development.
Depending on the amount of fleas, it may be necessary to repeat the treatment. The interval between the two treatments should be 4 weeks. However, in cases of frequent and / or prolonged exposure to water, the persistent effectiveness may be reduced. In these cases, do not administer more frequently than once a week.
