FRONTLINE TRI-ACT is an easy-to-use drug that kills the dog's external parasites in a solution for spot-on application, containing fipronil and permethrin. FORallows you to give your dog a high degree of flea and tick control and a long-lasting, repellent action against sand flies, mosquitoes, stable flies and ticks. It is only for dogs. DO NOT USE on cats or rabbits. Can be found in 5 different pipette sizes, for 5 weight ranges, from 2 to 60 kg, in boxes of 3 pipettes.

Active substances:

Fipronil is the main active substance. Fipronil is an insecticide / acaricide whose characteristics include fast action, high safety profile and long-lasting effect.
Permethrin belongs to Type 1 of the pyrethroid class, and is an insecticidal and acaricidal molecule that has a repellent action against sandflies, mosquitoes and ticks.

Directions for use:

Monthly use helps to protect your dog in areas at high risk of disease transmission by phlebotomes (leishmaniasis), mosquitoes (heartworm), ticks (babesiosis, ehrlichiosis, anaplasmosis, Lyme disease) and fleas (rickettsiosis, bartonellosis, dipylidiosis).

  • Fleas: For the treatment and prevention of flea infestations (Ctenocephalides felis) and prevention of infestations by Ctenocephalides canis. One treatment prevents new flea infestations for 4 weeks.
  • Ticks: Treatment and prevention of tick infestations (Dermacentor reticulatus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus and Ixodes ricinus). One treatment eliminates (Dermacentor reticulatus, Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) and repels (Ixodes ricinus, Rhipicephalus sanguineus) ticks for 4 weeks after treatment and repels Dermacentor reticulatus from 7 days to 4 weeks after treatment.
  • Phlebotomes and mosquitoes: Repels sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) (prevents biting and consequent feeding) for 3 weeks and mosquitoes (Culex pipiens, Aedes albopictus) for 4 weeks. Eliminates sandflies (Phlebotomus perniciosus) and mosquitoes (Aedes albopictus) for 3 weeks.
  • Stable flies: Repels (prevents biting and consequent feeding) and eliminates stable flies (Stomoxys calcitrans) for 5 weeks.

Pipette application method:

Remove the blister card from the packaging and separate a blister. Use scissors to cut the blister along the dotted line (or fold and tear the marked corner), remove the pipette and hold it upright. Cut the tip of the pipette with scissors. Separate the hairs until the skin is visible. Bring the tip of the pipette close to the skin. Squeeze the pipette, applying about half the contents in the middle of the neck between the base of the skull and the shoulder blades. Repeat the application at the base of the neck between the shoulder blades to empty the pipette. For best results, make sure the veterinary medicine is applied directly to the skin, not the hair.

It is important to make regular applications and throughout the year, even before observing the presence of fleas or ticks, in order to avoid the installation of the parasite's life cycle in the environment. It is recommended to apply the product to all animals in the house, even those that do not go abroad. Choose the product that best adapts to the weight of each animal. Do not hesitate to weigh your pet regularly in order to avoid dosing errors. In the case of dogs weighing more than 60 kg, a combination of pipettes appropriate to the weight of the animal should be applied.
