Pure Ethyl Alcohol 70% is considered an intermediate level antiseptic and disinfectant.

Characteristics:

  • Fast-acting bactericide.
  • Recommended for disinfecting furniture surfaces and instruments/equipment. Skin/hand antisepsis.
  • Do not apply to mucous membranes, occlusive dressings and open wounds.
  • Action in the presence of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and virucidal (in the case of lipophilic viruses).
  • It is not sporicidal nor does it act on hydrophilic viruses.

Usage advice:

Apply to the skin or using cotton or gauze. External use. Do not ingest.
