Herbihelix Expectorant 7mg/ml Syrup 150ml

Herbihelix Expectorant 7mg/ml Syrup is indicated as an expectorant in the case of productive cough.

Active substances: Each 1ml of syrup contains 7mg of extract (in the form of dry extract) of Hedera helix L., folium (ivy leaves).

Dosage and method of administration:

Adolescents (from 12 years of age), adults and the elderly: 5ml to 7.5ml of syrup twice a day (corresponding to 70mg to 105mg of ivy leaf dry extract per day). Children aged 6 to 11 years: 5ml of syrup twice a day (corresponding to 70mg of ivy leaf dry extract per day). Children aged 2 to 5 years: 2.5ml of syrup twice a day (corresponding to 37.5mg of ivy leaf dry extract per day). If symptoms persist during use of the medicine for more than one week, a doctor or pharmacist should be consulted. Patients with renal and/or hepatic impairment should seek medical advice regarding the recommended dose before taking Herbihelix Expectorant syrup. The syrup should be taken in the morning and early afternoon. It is recommended to drink plenty of water or other warm, caffeine-free beverages. The medicine can be taken regardless of meals. Shake the bottle well before use.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance, to other plants of the Araliaceae (Ivy) family, or to any of the excipients. Children under 2 years of age, due to the risk of general worsening of respiratory symptoms through secretolytic medications.
