Benflux 3mg/ml Syrup 200ml

Benflux 3mg/ml Syrup is a mucolytic adjuvant for the antibacterial treatment of respiratory infections, in the presence of bronchial hypersecretion.

Active substances: 3mg of Ambroxol hydrochloride.

Ambroxol has mucokinetic and expectorant properties; It stimulates, through its action on secretory cells, bronchial secretion and favors the production of more mobilized mucus. Increases ciliary activity.

Dosage and method of administration:

The usually recommended daily dose is 60 to 120 mg of ambroxol hydrochloride, divided into 2 or 3 doses. For children up to 12 years of age, the usual dose is 1.5 - 2 mg/kg/day, divided into 2 or 3 doses. Dosage for adults and children over 12 years of age: 10 ml, 2 to 3 times a day. Dosage for children: Children up to 2 years of age: 2.5 ml twice a day. Children from 2 to 6 years of age: 5 ml twice a day. Children from 6 to 12 years of age: 7.5 ml twice a day. According to current legislation, medicines not subject to medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
