Aero-OM Laxative is indicated in cases of constipation, for preparation of auxiliary diagnostic procedures, in pre- and post-operative treatment, and whenever facilitation of bowel movements is required.

Active substance: Each gastro-resistant tablet contains 5 mg of bisacodyl.

Dosage and method of administration:

Aero-OM Laxative should not be used in children under 6 years of age. Unless otherwise prescribed by a doctor, the recommended dose is: In case of constipation - Adults and children over 10 years: 1-2 tablets (5-10 mg) per day. Children from 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) per day. Children up to 10 years of age with chronic or persistent constipation should only be treated under medical supervision. In preparation for diagnostic procedures, in pre-operative treatments and in pathologies that require facilitated defecation, Aero-OM Laxative should be used under medical supervision. Adults and children over 10 years: 2 tablets (10 mg) in the morning and 2 tablets (10 mg) at night, the day before the examination. Children from 6 to 10 years: 1 tablet (5 mg) at night. Oral route. The tablets should be swallowed whole (without chewing) with an adequate amount of liquid, preferably at night (before bedtime). It is recommended that the tablets be taken at night so that a bowel movement occurs the following morning. Aero-OM Laxative should not be taken with products that reduce the acidity of the upper gastrointestinal tract, such as milk or dairy products, alkaline mineral waters, antacids or proton pump inhibitors.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Dehydration with electrolyte depletion. Aero-OM Laxative is contraindicated in patients with ileus, intestinal obstruction, severe abdominal surgery such as acute appendicitis, severe inflammatory bowel disease, and severe abdominal pain associated with nausea and vomiting, which may be indicative of more serious pathologies.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medicines in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
