Macrogol Generis 10g 20 sachets

Macrogol Generis 10g is indicated for the symptomatic treatment of constipation in children aged 8 years and over.

Active substances: Each sachet contains 10g of macrogol 4000.

Each sachet contains 3.1 - 4.6 mg of sorbitol (present in grapefruit and orange aroma).

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and children over 8 years of age: 1 to 2 sachets (10-20g) per day, preferably taken in a single dose in the morning. The daily dose should be adjusted according to the clinical effects and may vary from one sachet every other day (especially in children) to two sachets per day. The effect of Macrogol occurs between 24 and 48 hours after its administration. Paediatric population: In children, treatment should not exceed 3 months, given the lack of clinical data for more than 3 months. The restoration of bowel movements induced by treatment will be maintained through an appropriate lifestyle and diet. Method of administration: The contents of each sachet should be dissolved in approximately 50 ml of water immediately before taking it and taken in the morning. The resulting solution is clear and transparent like water.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the components. Severe inflammatory bowel disease (such as ulcerative colitis, Crohn's disease, etc.) or toxic megacolon. Digestive perforation or risk of digestive perforation. Ileus or suspected intestinal obstruction or symptomatic stenosis. Painful abdominal syndromes of undetermined cause.
