

Medicine indicated for the symptomatic relief of constipation.
Pursennide 12mg It is indicated for the symptomatic relief of atonic constipation of various etiologies, for example, in the elderly, in the postoperative period, in pregnancy and in the postpartum period.
Active substances: 20.0 mg of standardized senna glycosides (equivalent to 12 mg of sennosides A+B).
Senna glycosides are laxatives that selectively stimulate peristalsis (bowel movement) in the large intestine.
Dosage and method of administration:
The correct dose of Pursennide is the lowest effective dose sufficient to restore bowel function. The dose varies from individual to individual, but it is suggested: Adults: 2-4 tablets, at bedtime. Maximum daily dose: 6 tablets. Children over 12 years old: depending on age, 1 or 2 tablets at bedtime. Maximum daily dose: 3 tablets. The drug should not be used for more than a week. Ask your doctor for advice about longer use.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde.
