Vigrippe 1mg + 500mg 20 tablets

Vigrippe 1mg + 500mg is a medication indicated for the symptomatic treatment of flu-like illnesses and colds in adults and children over 12 years of age.

Active substance: Each tablet contains 1 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate and 500 mg of paracetamol.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults: The recommended dose is 1 to 2 tablets every 6 or 8 hours (3 to 4 times a day). The maximum recommended daily dose is 6 tablets (equivalent to 3000 mg of paracetamol and 6 mg of chlorphenamine maleate) with a minimum interval of 6 hours between each dose. Children over 12 years of age: Up to 50 kg: The recommended dose is 1 tablet every 6 or 8 hours (3 to 4 times a day). The maximum daily dose should not exceed 4 tablets (equivalent to 2000 mg of paracetamol and 4 mg of chlorphenamine maleate) with a minimum interval of 6 hours between each dose. Over 50 kg: The recommended dose is 1-2 tablets every 6 or 8 hours (3 to 4 times a day). The maximum daily dose should not exceed 6 tablets (equivalent to 3000 mg of paracetamol and 6 mg of chlorpheniramine maleate) with a minimum interval of 6 hours between each dose. Administration depends on the appearance of painful and feverish symptoms. The medication should be reduced/discontinued as soon as improvement/disappearance of symptoms is observed. If no improvement is observed after 5 days of treatment or if a high fever is present, a doctor should be consulted. Method of administration: The tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid. The tablets should not be chewed or crushed.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Hepatic insufficiency. Viral hepatitis. Respiratory insufficiency. Asthmatic and productive cough. Renal insufficiency. Alcoholism. Vigrippe should not be used in children under 12 years of age or weighing less than 30 kg.
