Vicks Vaporub is a medicine used in the symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion and cough related to colds and flu.
Active substances: Camphor 50 mg/g; Essential oil of Turpentine 50 mg/g; Levomenthol 27.5 mg/g; Eucalyptus essential oil 15 mg/g.
Posology and method of administration:
By friction (cutaneous use): Apply to neck, chest and back. Adults and children over 12 years of age: 2 - 3 teaspoons (5 ml) of Vaporub. Children from 6 to 12 years: 1 - 2 teaspoons (5 ml) of Vaporub. Children from 30 months to 6 years: 1/2 - 1 teaspoon (5 ml) of Vaporub. Vicks Vaporub is not intended for use in children under the age of 30 months. Repeat 2-3 times a day if necessary.
By inhalation (inhalation): Adults and children over 6 years of age: Dissolve 2 teaspoons (5 ml) in a container of very hot, but not boiling, water. Inhale 10 to 15 minutes. Do not reheat the mixture. Vicks Vaporub must not be used in children under the age of 6 years.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
