Actea Oral it is indicated in dogs and cats as an adjunct to actions to treat periodontal disease (such as gingivitis, stomatitis and periodontitis), in combating the accumulation of dental plaque and reducing halitosis.

Thanks to its soothing, sanitizing and protective properties, Actea Oral can be used in all situations in which the physiological conditions of the oral mucosa need to be restored, even after tooth scraping and extraction.

Active ingredients: Lactoferricin, Glycerophosphoinositol lysine, Extract syringa vulgaris.

Actea Oral consists of a patented formula composed of a complex of three molecules:

- Lactoferricin: peptide fraction of lactoferrin (bovine milk protein). Lactoferrin is a glycoprotein that is present in most exocrine secretions, such as milk, tears, nasal secretions, saliva, urine, uterine secretions and amniotic fluid. This glycoprotein has the property of binding to iron and is considered a molecule with an antimicrobial, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer effect and also with regulatory properties of the immune system. The derivatives of its digestion also give rise to other peptides that intervene in the immune function and in the neutralization of free radicals.

- Lysine Glycerophosphoinositol (GPI): semi-synthetic derivative obtained from sunflower lecithins. It is an ingredient derived from sunflower lecithin that is on a patent that covers the molecule and its dermatological application. GPI is a semi-synthetic derivative of glycerophosphoinositol, a natural cellular component produced by lipid metabolism. The GPI acts through a mechanism upstream of the inflammatory cascade through the negative modulation of cytosolic phospholipase A2 (cPLA2), the main source of arachidonic acid release, acting through its physiological control system.

- Verbascoside (Dermasyn): obtained from Syringa vulgaris stem cells. The use of Syringa vulgaris in preparations for topical application is frequent, being recognized as an effective medicinal herb in accelerating the healing of wounds, revealing anti-inflammatory, antirheumatic, antipyretic and antifungal properties. Verbascoside obtained from Syringa vulgaris shows strong anti-inflammatory activity, since it induces a decrease in the expression of the pro-inflammatory cytokine IL-8. In addition, it effectively inhibits the enzyme 5α-reductase, involved in the production of sebum, which also inhibits bacteria and other microorganisms, such as dermatophytes and fungi, which belong to the commensal flora of the skin, being residents and colonizers of the regions preferably with high production of tallow.

Posology and route of administration:

Apply directly to the gums, using a gentle massage, an adequate amount of product and repeat the application twice a day.

When using Actea Oral as a treatment aid, repeat the application twice a day for 10 to 20 consecutive days. To ensure the maintenance of the physiological conditions of the oral cavity, apply once a day, following the instructions of the veterinarian.
