Benakor 20mg 98 tablets
Treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs.
Benakor 20mg it is indicated for the treatment of congestive heart failure in dogs.
Active substances: Benazepril hydrochloride 20 mg.
Benazepril hydrochloride is a pro-drug hydrolyzed in vivo in its active metabolite, benazeprilat. Benazeprilat is a highly potent selective ACE inhibitor, thus preventing the conversion of inactive angiotensin I into active angiotensin II and thus also reducing the synthesis of aldosterone. As such, it blocks the effects mediated by angiotensin II and aldosterone, including vasoconstriction of arteries and veins, sodium and water retention by the kidneys and remodeling effects (including pathological cardiac hypertrophy and degenerative renal changes).
