Canitenol Plus 100 tablets

Canitenol Plus is indicated for dogs in the treatment of mixed infections by nematodes and tapeworms of the following species:

Nematodes - Ascarids: Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina (late adult and immature forms); Hookworms: Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum (adults); Tricurids: Trichuris vulpis (adults).

Cestodes - Tapeworms: Echinococcus spp (Echinococcus granulosus, Echinococcus multilocularis); Taenia spp. (Taenia hydatigena, Taenia pisiformis, Taenia taeniaeformis); Dipylidium caninum (adult and immature forms).

Active substances: Praziquantel 50 mg, Pirantel 50 mg (equivalent to 144 mg of pyrantel embonate), Febantel 150 mg.

In this fixed combination, pirantel and febantel act against all relevant nematodes (ascarids, hookworms and tricurids) in dogs. In particular, the spectrum of activity covers Toxocara canis, Toxascaris leonina, Uncinaria stenocephala, Ancylostoma caninum and Trichuris vulpis.

This combination has a synergistic activity in the case of hookworms and febantel is effective against T. vulpis. The spectrum of activity of praziquantel covers all important species of tapeworms in dogs, in particular Taenia spp., Dipylidium caninum, Echinococcus granulosus and Echinococcus multilocularis. Praziquantel works against all immature and adult forms of these parasites

Posology and route of administration:

Oral administration. This veterinary medicine can be administered to the dog directly or disguised in the food (on a piece of meat, cheese, etc.). It is recommended to treat animals before feeding them, it is not necessary to restrict their access to food before or after treatment. The recommended doses are: one tablet for every 10 kg of body weight in a single dose (5 mg praziquantel, 15 mg febantel and 14.4 mg pyrantel embonate, for every kilogram of body weight).
