Cerenia is an antiemetic for oral use only in dogs. It is indicated for the prevention of nausea induced by chemotherapy., Prevention of vomiting induced by motion sickness and for the prevention and treatment of vomiting, in conjunction with Cerenia Solution Injectable and associated with other supportive measures.

Active substances: Each tablet contains 16 mg, 24 mg, 60 mg or 160 mg of maropitant, in the form of maropitant citrate monohydrate.

Target species: Dogs.

Posology and route of administration:

Oral use.

In order to prevent motion sickness before administration, it is recommended to give the animal a light meal or snack; prolonged fasting before administration should be avoided. However, tablets should not be administered mixed with, or within, food, as this may delay the dissolution of the tablet and consequently the onset of effectiveness. Dogs should be carefully observed after administration to ensure that each tablet is swallowed.

To prevent acute vomiting: Cerenia® Tablets should be administered orally at a minimum dose of 2 mg / kg of body weight, once daily, for up to 5 days.

To prevent vomiting induced by motion sickness: Cerenia® Tablets should be administered orally, at a minimum dose of 8 mg / kg body weight, two hours before the trip, for up to two consecutive days. Dogs should fast for one hour before administering Cerenia®.
