Cimalgex 8mg 32 tablets

Cimalgex is indicated for the treatment of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis, and management of peri-operative pain due to orthopedic or soft tissue surgery, in dogs.

Active substance: Cimicoxib.

Cimicoxib is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, belonging to the coxib group and acts by selectively inhibiting the enzyme cyclooxygenase 2. Do not administer to dogs less than 10 weeks of age.

Dosage and route of administration:

Orally. The tablets can be administered with or without food. The recommended dose of Cimicoxib is 2 mg per kg body weight, once a day. Duration of treatment: Management of peri-operative pain due to orthopedic or soft tissue surgery: one dose 2 hours before surgery, followed by 3 to 7 days of treatment, based on the veterinarian's decision. Relief of pain and inflammation associated with osteoarthritis: 6 months. For long-term treatment, your veterinarian must carry out regular monitoring.
