Strongid Cats Pasta Oral 3g

Strongid Cats Oral Paste is indicated for the treatment of gastrointestinal helminthiasis caused by nematodes of the genera Ascaris and Ancylostoma . It is effective against Toxocara cati , Toxascaris leonina and Ancylostoma tubaeforme . It can be administered during pregnancy and lactation.

Target species: Felines (cats).

Active Substance: Pyrantel

Dosage and route of administration:

The dose to be administered is 57.65 mg of pyrantel pamoate (equivalent to 20.0 mg of pyrantel base) per kg of body weight, which is equivalent to one division of the syringe (0.5 g) per kg of body weight. The contents of one syringe (3 g) are normally sufficient to treat an adult cat (with an average weight of 6 kg). It is recommended to administer the dose in one go, directly from the syringe. The veterinary medicinal product can be administered easily: while gently holding the animal's head with your hand, apply the paste, placing small amounts at a time on the tongue, behind the canine tooth. The calculated quantity of paste can be mixed with food or applied to the extremities of the front limbs. In this case, after initial hesitation on the part of the animal, it will ingest it quickly. It is not necessary to fast or follow any specific diet.
