Bravecto it is indicated for the treatment of tick and flea infestations in dogs, providing 12 weeks of protection. It is a systemic insecticide and acaricide with a long duration of action, which promotes immediate and persistent efficacy for 12 weeks against ticks and fleas.

This veterinary medicinal product is a systemic insecticide and acaricide that provides:

- the immediate and persistent elimination of fleas (Ctenocephalides felis) for 12 weeks,

- the immediate and persistent elimination of ticks for 12 weeks for Ixodes ricinus, Dermacentor reticulatus and D. variabilis,

- the immediate and persistent elimination of ticks for 8 weeks for Rhipicephalus sanguineus.

Fleas and ticks must contact the host and start feeding in order to be exposed to the active substance. The onset of the effect occurs within 8 hours after contact for fleas (C. felis) and 12 hours after contact for ticks (I. ricinus). The veterinary medicinal product can be used as part of the treatment strategy for flea allergic dermatitis (DAPP).

For the treatment of demodicosis caused by Demodex canis.

For the treatment of sarcoptic mange infestation (Sarcoptes scabiei var. Canis).

Posology and method of administration:

1 500mg tablet for dogs weighing between 10-20kg.

Administer Bravecto chewable tablets during or near the time of the meal. Bravecto is a chewable tablet and is well accepted by most dogs. If the tablet is not taken voluntarily by the dog, it can also be administered with food or directly into the mouth. The dog should be observed during administration to confirm that the tablet is swallowed.

It should be administered orally, according to the animal's weight. For optimal control of flea and tick infestations, the product should be administered every 12 weeks.
