broncolis is indicated for the treatment of respiratory diseases of the following species:

  • Songbirds (canaries, goldfinches, mandarins, roselles, cardialites from venezuela, titmice, red finch, glosters, finches, robins, lacquer beaks, gold diamond, gray cardinal, lugres, dominoes, weaver, Java sparrow, indian bengalis , japan nightingale, kackarikis, lovebirds, mitrata spider mite, parakeets, cockatiels, parrots, macaws, etc.).
  • Carrier pigeons.

This medicine has an antiseptic action on the airways, a bronchodilator effect and is a mucus thinner. It can be used together with antimicrobials for the treatment of respiratory diseases where there is a change in the mucociliary transport function and production of viscous mucus. Stimulant expectorants are often used to treat cough associated with chronic bronchial conditions.

Active substances: Bromhexine Hydrochloride, Eucalyptol.

Bromhexine is a synthetic derivative of the herb vascina. Bromhexine has a mucolytic action and is used in the treatment of respiratory diseases associated with sticky or excessive mucus. It modifies the pattern of the mucous substances produced by the excretory cells, reduces the viscosity of the mucus. It also has a secretolytic and secretory action in the bronchi area, with increased bronchial ciliary activity, which facilitates expectoration and relieves coughing. Increases the effectiveness of antibiotics.

Eucalyptol has been used as a decongestant, often in combination with other substances. It controls mucus hypersecretion in the airways through an anti-inflammatory action by inhibiting cytokines. Studies carried out with medicinal plant extracts have shown broad antimicrobial activity of eucalyptus oil against Bacillus cereus, E. coli, Enterococcus faecalis, S. Aureus, MRSA, and other Gram-positives. Action against fungi such as C. albicans and Trichophyton mentagrophytes is also described.

Dosage and administration route:

Songbirds and carrier pigeons: 1 to 2 ml per liter of drinking water.

The treatment lasts from 3 to 5 days, as an adjunct to the treatment with antibiotics in respiratory infections.
