Drill Sugar-Free is an antiseptic and analgesic used for symptomatic relief of sore throat, symptomatic relief of mild infections of the oral cavity and oropharynx and used for oral and oropharyngeal hygiene, especially post-operatively.
Active substance: 0.2 mg of tetracaine hydrochloride and 3 mg of chlorhexidine digluconate.
Chlorhexidine is effective against a wide range of vegetative Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, yeasts, dermatophyte fungi and lipophilic viruses. It is active against a wide range of important oral pathogens and is therefore effective in the treatment of many common oral and oropharyngeal diseases. Tetracaine hydrochloride is used as a local anaesthetic for its action in blocking the propagation and conduction of nerve impulses along nerve axons.
Dosage and method of administration:
Adults and adolescents over 15 years of age: 1 lozenge 4 times a day (24 hours). Children between 6 and 15 years of age: 1 lozenge 2 to 3 times a day (24 hours). Leave intervals of at least 2 hours between each lozenge. Dissolve slowly in the mouth without chewing.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Children under 6 years of age. In the case of phenylketonuria, due to the aspartame content.
