Dextazin 1,5mg 100 tablets

Dextazin is a non-prescription drug for smoking cessation and reduction of nicotine craving in smokers willing to quit smoking. The goal of treatment with this medicine is to permanently stop using nicotine-containing products.

Active substance: each tablet contains 1.5 mg of cytisinicline (cytisine).

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. Unstable angina, recent history of myocardial infarction, clinically significant arrhythmia, and history of recent stroke. Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Posology and method of administration:

A box of Dextazin (100 tablets) is sufficient for a complete treatment. Duration of treatment is 25 days.

Tobacco use must be stopped no later than the 5th day of treatment. Tobacco use should not be continued during treatment as it can aggravate adverse reactions. In case of treatment failure, treatment must be discontinued and can be resumed after 2-3 months.

Dextazin must be taken orally with an adequate amount of water.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
