Fucidine it is an antibiotic for topical use.
Fucidine it is particularly indicated in adults in the treatment of localized skin infections, caused by microorganisms sensitive to fusidic acid, such as boils, impetigos, pyoderma, abscesses, folliculitis, infected acne and wounds.
Active substance: One gram of ointment contains 20 mg of sodium fusidate.
Fucidine is active against some gram-positive bacteria and some gram-negative coconuts, whereas, in relation to gram-negative bacteria and fungi, it has no activity.
The antibacterial activity of Fucidine is not affected by the presence of pus.
Posology and method of administration
Apply two to three times a day, with or without an occlusive dressing.
A minimum treatment of 8 days is recommended.
