Wergyl 100g

Wergy is a non-prescription medicine indicated for the symptomatic treatment of mild to moderate muscle pain, post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (sprains, dislocations and bruises) and localized forms of degenerative rheumatism: osteoarthrosis of peripheral joints and spine.

Active substance: Each gram of gel contains 10 mg of diclofenac sodium equivalent to 10 mg of diclofenac. Contains 0.5mg of propylparaben, 0.5mg of methylparaben and 80mg of propylene glycol.

Dosage and method of administration:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years old should apply to the skin 3 or 4 times a day. The amount needed depends on the size of the painful area: 2–4 g is enough to treat an area of approximately 400-800 cm2. Pediatric population should not be used in children under 12 years of age. Apply by rubbing lightly into the skin. After application, you must wash your hands, except in cases where these are the area to be treated. The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the response obtained. The gel should not be used for more than 14 days for soft tissue injuries and/or rheumatism, or 21 days for arthritis pain, unless recommended by a doctor. When used without a prescription, if the patient does not improve within 7 days or if it worsens, you should consult your doctor.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients. It is also contraindicated in patients whose attacks of asthma, urticaria or acute rhinitis are precipitated by acetylsalicylic acid or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
