Iburon 400mg is a non-prescription medicine indicated for the relief of mild to moderate pain in adults, namely, toothache, headache, migraine, with previous medical diagnosis, dysmenorrhea, rheumatic pain, myalgias, low back pain, neuralgia, to relieve fever , flu syndrome and/or cold.
Active substance: Each tablet contains 400mg of ibuprofen.
Dosage and method of administration:
It is recommended that adults take one tablet up to 3 times a day, preferably after meals to improve the tolerability of the medicine and reduce the likelihood of gastrointestinal problems. The maximum recommended dose of ibuprofen is 1200 mg per day, in divided doses. Unless advised by a doctor, ib-u-ron should not be taken for more than 7 days for pain and 3 days for fever. For children under 18 years of age, other forms of ib-u-ron are available, which contain more adequate amounts of ibuprofen. This medication is administered orally. Do not drink alcoholic beverages during treatment.
Contraindications:
It is contraindicated in hypersensitivity to the active substance or any of the excipients, hypersensitivity to other NSAIDs, in patients with bronchospasm, with a history of asthma attacks, acute rhinitis, urticaria, angioneurotic edema or other allergic-type reactions associated with the use of substances with similar action (e.g. acetylsalicylic acid or other NSAIDs), in patients with a history of gastrointestinal bleeding or perforation, related to previous NSAID therapy, active peptic ulcer/bleeding or history of recurrent peptic ulcer/bleeding (two or more distinct episodes of ulceration or proven bleeding), in patients with severe heart failure (NY Heart Association class IV), cerebrovascular bleeding or other active bleeding, patients who have suffered dehydration due to, for example, vomiting, diarrhea or insufficient fluid intake, impaired severe renal or hepatic function, in patients with coagulation disorders (with a tendency to increased bleeding), during pregnancy and/or breastfeeding, patients with problems in the production of blood cells of unknown cause and children.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a medical prescription, in Portugal, can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
