Actifed Decongestant 1mg/ml Nasal Spray 10ml

Actifed Decongestant 1mg/ml Nasal Spray is indicated for the temporary symptomatic treatment of nasal congestion caused by rhinitis or sinusitis.

Active substance: xylometazoline hydrochloride.

Xylometazoline is an imidazole derivative and has a sympathomimetic effect. The vaporization of xylometazoline on the nasal mucous membrane causes rapid, long-lasting vascular constriction. The result is a reduction in nasal blockage.

Posology and method of administration:

Nasal route. Adults and children over 12 years of age: One spray in each nostril no more than three times a day. This medicine should be used for a maximum of 7 days, unless otherwise instructed by the doctor. To minimize the risk of passing on infections, the medicine must not be used by more than one person and the vaporizer must be rinsed after each use. Actifed Decongestant 1 mg/ml nasal spray solution is contraindicated for children under 12 years of age.

According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
