Dimobil 50mg/g Gel 100g

Dimobil 50mg/g is a medicine indicated in adults for the local symptomatic treatment (relief of pain, inflammation and swelling) of mild to moderate muscle pain, post-traumatic inflammation of tendons, ligaments, muscles and joints (sprains, dislocations and bruises) and localized forms of degenerative rheumatism: osteoarthritis of the peripheral joints and spine.

Active substance: 1g of gel contains 50mg of diclofenac sodium.

Dosage and Method of Administration:

Dimobil is applied topically to the affected area 2 or 3 times a day and rubbed in gently. The amount needed depends on the size of the painful area, ranging from approximately 2 to 4 g of gel (corresponding to approximately 5 to 10 cm of gel). After application, wash your hands with soap and water, unless they are the area being treated. The duration of treatment depends on the indication and the response obtained. Without a doctor's recommendation, the gel should not be used for more than 14 consecutive days. If the condition does not improve within 7 days or worsens, the patient is advised to consult a doctor who will reevaluate the treatment.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Third trimester of pregnancy. Use in children and adolescents under 18 years of age is contraindicated.

According to current legislation, non-prescription medications in Portugal can only be delivered to the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo, and Vila do Conde. This restriction does not apply to shipments to other European Union Member States.
