Allerjon is a decongestant used in the symptomatic treatment of ocular conjunctival irritation.
Active substance: 0.25 mg of oxymetazoline hydrochloride per ml of solution.
Posology and method of administration:
The average dosage is 1 to 2 drops, in the eyeball, 4 times a day. Alerjon should be administered with care to avoid contact liquid contamination and contact lens wearers should remove the lenses before applying the medicine. Contact lens wear should be discontinued throughout the treatment period. The use of contact lenses is not recommended when there are symptoms of redness and eye irritation due to the danger of ocular infectious conditions. The duration of treatment should not exceed three days, without medical supervision, due to the risk of causing chronic eye congestion and symptomatic worsening.
According to current legislation, medicines not subject to a prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
