Spidifen EF 400mg 20 tablets

Spidifen EF is indicated for adults in the symptomatic treatment of the following situations:

Pains of mild to moderate intensity (rheumatic and muscular pain), back pain, neuralgia, migraine, headache, toothache, dysmenorrhea, fever and symptoms of cold and flu.

Active substance: Ibuprofen 400mg

Spidifen EF contains ibuprofen as an active ingredient, which is present in the form of arginate. Ibuprofen is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory in the group of arylpropionic acids that has marked analgesic, antipyretic and anti-inflammatory properties.

Posology and method of administration:

The tablet should be placed on the tongue and swallowed whole, with the help of a glass of water or another liquid. If you have a sensitive stomach, you should use Spidifen EF with food. The groove is only there to help you break the tablet if you have difficulty swallowing it whole. Adults and adolescents over 12 years (≥ 40 kg): 400 mg administered as a single dose or up to 3 times a day with an interval of 4 to 6 hours. The maximum daily dose should not exceed 1200 mg. Administration to children under the age of 12 years must be done by prescription. Other formulations more suitable for administration to children should be sought. Undesirable effects can be minimized by using the lowest effective dose for the shortest period of time necessary to control symptoms.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.

According to the legislation in force, medicines not subject to medical prescription in Portugal can only be delivered in the municipalities of Maia, Gondomar, Matosinhos, Porto, Santo Tirso, Trofa, Valongo and Vila do Conde. This limitation does not apply to shipments to other Member States of the European Union.
